Brookie

Ingredients

Brownies

7 tablespoons butter

1 cup chocolate chunks (semisweet)

1 cup light brown sugar

3 eggs, room temperature

1 teaspoon orange extract

1/2 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon corn starch

1/4 teaspoon salt

Cookie Dough (store bought; I used Doich cookie dough www.doichfoods.com

How To

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit/176 degrees Celsius. Line an 8 inch square rectangle pan.

In a small heatproof pan, melt the butter and chocolate until smooth. Set aside.

Mix the flour, baking soda, salt and corn starch in a small bowl. Set aside.

In the bowl of a standing mixer, beat the sugar and eggs until light yellow in color.

Add the melted chocolate mixture and fold in with a spatula.

Add the orange extract and flour mixture. Fold in with a spatula.

Place a few dollops of cookie dough on top (about 1/2 a tablespoon each). Alternatively, you can add the cookie dough on top right after you bake it.

Bake for 25 minutes in the middle rack.

Remove and let cool for 15 minutes.
