Caramel and Nuts Frosting

Ingredients

6 tablespoons butter

6 ounces evaporated milk

2 egg yolks

1 cup Brown sugar

1 cup walnuts, chopped

1 cup pecans, chopped

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

Equipment

Medium heat proof saucepan

Measuring cups and spoons

Spatula

How To

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix the butter, evaporated milk, brown sugar, egg yolks and milk.

Keep stirring as it simmers for 10 minutes. The frosting will thicken.

Remove from the heat and add the nuts, salt and vanilla extract.

Mix in until well combined.

Let the frosting cool slightly before using.
