Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

3 cups powdered sugar (you can add up to 1.5 cups more if you would like it firm)

½ cup cocoa

3-4 tablespoons milk

¼ tsp salt

Equipment

Measuring cups and spoons

Standing or handheld electric mixer

1 large bowl (if using a handheld electric mixer 

How to

Beat the butter with electric whisk until soft and creamy.

Add the powdered sugar gradually and continue beating (cover with a kitchen towel.so the sugar doesn’t get all over you).

Add the cocoa and vanilla while continuing to beat.

Gradually add the milk until you get the consistency you’re looking for. You may not need all the milk, or you may need slightly more.
