Chocolate Chip and Walnut Cookies

Ingredients

21/4cups flour

3/4cup butter

3/4cup sugar

¼ cup brown sugar

2eggs

1teaspoon baking soda

1teaspoon salt

1teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup walnuts, chopped

2 cups chocolate chips

Large bowl

Medium bowl

Baking sheet, lined with parchment paper

 

How To

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit/176 Celsius.

In a medium bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugars for 3-4 minutes until creamy.

Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.

Gradually add the flour mixture and beat in on low speed.

Using a spatula, fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.

Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. You can chill them overnight if you wish.

Remove the chilled dough from the fridge. Using an ice cream scoop, put round balls of the dough on the parchment lined baking sheet. Put the cookies about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven, and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 2-3 minutes. Remove onto a wire rack and let them cool completely.
