Cream Cheese Frosting

2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature

6 ounces cream cheese, chilled

1 tablespoon milk

Equipment

Measuring cups and spoons

Digital scale

Standing Mixer or handheld electric whisk

Large bowl (if using handheld electric whisk)

How to

In the bowl of a standing mixer, cream the butter and powdered sugar until it becomes crumbly in texture.

Add the cream cheese in one go and continue beating on medium-high. Beat until it’s smooth and creamy.

If the frosting is thick add the milk and beat. You can add milk a tablespoon at a time until you get the texture you’re looking for.
